Operating and Testing Information
| Manifold and Quick-Connect Housing Assembly |
Max. Operating Pressures:
Liquids: 125 psig @ 125 °F |
Standard Pressure:
- Based upon static burst pressure
of a minimum of 400 psig. No failures.
Cyclic test of 12,000 cycles at 180 psig. Impulse pressure. No failures.
|
|
Note: Cyclic test based upon a fill rate of one cycle per second.

In addition to our own testing procedures, a highly respected independent filter manufacturer purchased housing assemblies and manifolds for testing and structural evaluation.
Independent Filter Manufacturer's Standard Testing
(Quick-Connect filter housing assemblies and manifolds only.) |
Burst Pressure - 400 psig
slight leakage started at 355 on one o-ring seal.
Cyclic test of 71,200 cycles at 180 psig. No failures.¹
Impulse pressure test of 74,282 cycles at 250 psig. No failures. (Weld on T-Bar attachment separated.)²

The R&D Senior Engineer concludes in an inter-office memo:
"Using standard company test procedures, the units exceeded the Mfr.'s claims by a wide margin." |
|
Independent filter manufacturers cyclic test is based on fill rate of two and one-half cycles per second.
¹ - Standard test is 10,000 cycles at 150 psig.
² - T-Bar attachment was mild steel, now is Stainless Steel.
